One day a young man found a $5 bill between the ties of a railroad. From that time on he never lifted his eyes from the ground while walking. In 30 years, he accumulated 25,916 buttons, 62,172 rusted nails, 7 pennies, a bent back and a sour disposition. In finding all this, he lost the smiles of his friends, the songs of the birds, the beauties of nature and the opportunity to serve his fellow man and spread happiness.
